Formed in South Florida in 2005 by Diego Angee as a solitary creative force, Belzeth emerged from the shadows as an introspective black metal project rooted in atmospheric darkness and spiritual descent. Originally envisioned as a one-man endeavor, the project served as a cathartic vessel for Diego’s compositions—melding raw guitar work, haunting melodies, and philosophical explorations of death, torment, and the unknown. Over time, Belzeth evolved into a two-man band with the addition of Armand Martin (2007-2019), and then Richard Pena (2020- present) whose visceral and commanding vocals deepened the project’s sonic and emotional weight. Today, the lineup consists of Diego Angee (guitars, composition, production) and Richard Peña (vocals), together forging a sound that is both mournful and defiant, a descent into the abyss guided by unwavering artistic vision.
